operation FLAGS
Tamaya Jones, 6, left and Selah Hammond, 7, try on the uniform their family member would wear with the help of Wadda Hamper, a uniform fitter, as Randolph Airforce Base kids experienced a mock deployment line at the Airman and Family Readiness Flight during Operation FLAGS. "It felt like I was with my mommy," said Jones, whose mother is currently deployed.

the promise
Miguel "Mike" Bustamante lost his wife of 41 years last September, and visits her every day at the San Fernando No. 2 Cemetery despite the heat and humidity. growing up

I went home to Florida a few weeks ago and got to spend time with lots of special people- including my best friend since kindergarten, Layne, who is having a little girl of her own, and my friend Becky's daughter, Bella, who is growing up fast and full of beauty and wonder.
